Last March, on International Women’s Day, Orla Doherty and I chewed the ear off (not literally) journalist Sophie Grehnam for a few hours. Luckily for us, Sophie can talk for Ireland too, so we were in good company.
We met in the Westbury Hotel off Dublin’s Grafton St on a Friday afternoon. Now, that’s the kind of lifestyle I could get used to. But we couldn’t delay too long because later that evening, Orla and I launched Ruth O’Leary’s bestselling debut novel, The Weekend Break. It was a busy day, for sure.
We talked to Sophie about comedy, our books, our back story (involving apparitions and applications to the nuns, amongst other things) and loads more besides.
We laughed non-stop during the photo shoot, with pics taken in St Stephen’s Green and York St in Dublin’s city center.
Needless to say, we were thrilled to see the interview published in the Sunday Independent People & Culture section on July 28th, 2024.
